This research aims to study the relationship between physical fitness test results and playing positions in football (goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, striker). The sample included 20 youth players aged 18 to 20 years, with at least five years of coaching experience, and belonging to clubs in Anbar Governorate. The players underwent six field tests to measure: speed, endurance, explosive power, agility, flexibility, and visual reaction speed. Using statistical analysis (mean, deviation, ANOVA), the results showed significant differences between positions. Attackers excelled in speed and strength, midfielders in endurance and agility, and goalkeepers in flexibility and response speed. The results confirm the importance of developing specialized training programs according to playing position. Furthermore, the findings highlight that a one-size-fits-all approach to physical preparation does not maximize athletic potential, as each role in football demands unique physiological qualities. Therefore, coaches are encouraged to design individualized training plans that match the physical and tactical requirements of each position to optimize performance and reduce injury risk.
