This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDK Taelama through the implementation of guided reading literacy. The study was motivated by the students' low reading comprehension skills, which negatively impacted their learning outcomes. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) method was employed, conducted over two cycles. Each cycle comprised the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 20 fifth-grade students at SDK Taelama, consisting of 9 boys and 11 girls. Data collection techniques included observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The data were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods. The results indicate that the implementation of guided reading literacy improved student learning outcomes. In Cycle I, the average score was 72.25, with a learning mastery rate of 70% (14 students meeting the Minimum Mastery Criteria/KKM). Following improvements made in Cycle II, the average score rose to 76.75, and the mastery rate increased to 90% (18 students meeting the KKM). Additionally, student learning activity improved from the "fairly good" category in Cycle I to "very good" in Cycle II. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of guided reading literacy is effective in enhancing reading comprehension skills and learning outcomes for fifth-grade students at SDK Taelama. Therefore, this method serves as a viable alternative for Indonesian language instruction in primary schools.
