Konstruksi Wacana Ekoteologi Islam Model Van Dijk dalam Dakwah Digital Nasaruddin Umar di Berbagai Kanal Youtube

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the construction of Islamic ecotheological discourse in Nasaruddin Umar’s digital preaching across various YouTube channels using van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis model. The study is motivated by the predominance of normative-theological approaches in Islamic ecotheology, while the construction of ecological discourse in digital preaching, particularly across textual, social-cognitive, and social-contextual dimensions, remains underexplored. Employing a qualitative approach, the study examines a corpus of nine preaching videos by Nasaruddin Umar published on various YouTube channels between June 2025 and 2026. The data were analyzed through van Dijk’s three dimensions: text structure, social cognition, and social context. The findings indicate that Islamic ecotheological discourse is constructed through the concepts of khalifah, amanah, and taskhir, ecological responsibility, prohibitions against environmental destruction, and the relationship between faith and ecological behavior. This construction draws on the Qur’an, hadith, Islamic knowledge, spiritual understandings of nature, and awareness of the ecological crisis. Within the social context, the discourse responds to environmental degradation, natural resource exploitation, and the need to foster ecological awareness among Muslims. Nasaruddin Umar’s digital preaching thus constructs Islamic ecotheology as a paradigm that integrates faith, ecological ethics, and social behavioral change.
